Re: Shipito can only ship out wood with DHL?

Yeah I had this problem a month or so ago. I sent my pickup cover (wood) to the states for a custom pickup to be fitted into it and they posted it back to my shipito address. It got held up there. When i talked to them, they said Aust Post at our end would return anything with wood in it. They reco...

Thanks! dishwahing sponge here I come.
Last time I did that, I used a cut up mousemat. Still springy 2 years later.
Eventually, I got some springs from bunnings, all sorted :hyper:

Re: I can not adjust the bridge pickup height in my squier.

I know Eddie Van Halen used to screw the pickup straight to the body on his Strat, saying it sounded better. Makes a certain amount of sense, with a one pickup instrument. Especially if there is any microphonics in the pickup. I've had that mod done on one of my P basses - installed a block of maho...

If you have a Clark Rubber store nearby they have an offcuts bin where you can pick up some high density foam pretty cheaply
I'll give it go during weekend, only concern is cut those high density rubber to fit might not as easy as those weather seal.

No idea, I chose aus post shipito preferred. The recipient is charged anyway for quarantine and customs so huh? I’m confused.

Re: Shipito can only ship out wood with DHL?

I haven’t run into this including a month ago. I have specified a bass guitar and could choose all the different options. Yep, I still can see and choose all the shipping options like fedex or shipito with auspost and customer service told me I have to specify the type of wood, but when I choose th...

I've been using hot water pipe insulation foam with OK results. It does settle eventually and I generally put another piece in at that time.

Michael
They seem cost more than weather seals.

Re: I can not adjust the bridge pickup height in my squier.

Stick some foam in there. Doesn’t have to be Fender branded foam, lots of different options. As long as it is dense and stiff enough to hold the pickup at the height you adjust it will do the job. Thanks! dishwahing sponge here I come. I mean sure it will probably work. Thick cut and dense weather ...
