Re: Record with flats, gig with rounds?

I should've clarified why I think I prefer flats when recording. Because we have one sometimes two acoustic guitars in the song, flats sound a bit closer to an upight bass's sound and seems to mix better with them.

Re: The funny thread

well said Brooksi :) I'm amazed the story of the Batavia hasn't been made into a major movie, it has all the ingredients of a blockbustor. Adventure, disaster, sex, blood, endurance, cannibalism, discovery. Apparently the North Western aboriginals have some Dutch words and names in their history, pr...

Re: Maybe a dumb D.I question

OR.....instead of adjusting the gain on your pre, get a clean boost pedal to kick it in for a boost in volume, place it after the DI so it only affects your amp's input :)

Re: NBD 2017 Epiphone Vintage Pro Thunderbird

Allans has died in Adelaide, finally. I think. Last I was in all they had were Gibsons, no Fenders at all. Can't run a business by not carrying the biggest name of them all. The stores that embraced the net early are OK, like Bass Centre, Derringers, Mannys etc

Re: Record with flats, gig with rounds?

lots of wise advice here. I am really stuck at the moment, totally confused as to which I prefer, flats or rounds. So I guess the answer is that I swing both ways hehe
