Pollies are merely a subset of broader society, no matter which party they're members of - dual citizens and adulterers are everywhere
in modern Australia politics...
dual citizen = bad
adulterer = good

Re: Blind test: MusicMan StingRay 2004 vs Cort GB75JH

Not much difference between the two tonally... The first one was a bit more "hi-fi" or clearer than the 2nd (less low mids?)... but only splitting hairs. Because I lean personally towards a sound like #1 and because I think that the 'ray should be the "better sounding" instrument... I'll pick #1 as ...

Re: There's a hole in my bass

The purpose of the hole is to install a "guitar mute" button.
If you order the Fender Flea Signature "STFU" model, it comes with one already installed.

Re: Rant Thread !

A repair of a faulty safety switch IS a good thing... but the way it was conducted is a bit off. Pete, maybe you can set up a webcam in your shop that is linked to your mobile. That way, if something happens, you can at least drive a camera around the premises to check things out. And having a night...

Kerry you must stop expecting him to have any idea whatever about what his actions are doing to you. Empathy does not compute with corporate psychos. Not only does he not care, he is not capable of caring. And he's not going to change. There is no golden moment where he realises the error of his wa...

Re: Rant Thread !

My boss is a borderline slave driver... does not know how to give us a break ... And there’s been so much going on at work the last few weeks that I am very VERY tired and really looking forward to a long, stress-free weekend ... This morning while I’m on my 5k parkrun (and away from my phone), he r...

Re: the MOVIE REVIEW thread

^Odd Couple = Great movie! The 70's TV series with Jack Klugman and Tony Randall was superb! The modern TV series is not as good, IMO. Just saw "Wonder" in the theatre with Owen Wilson and Julia Roberts... for a feel-good, family-oriented movie with a message, I recommend... Very good job of charact...

^Dilbert depresses me... everything is so close to the bone...

Just today...

Me: "I am overwhelmed."
Manager: "I know that there is a lot of work on at the moment, but it's good. It's a positive. We are identifying things as an opportunity for improvement."

True story!

Has anyone else noticed how many journalists and broadcasters have trouble pronouncing "citizenship". Even someone as politically savvy as Patricia Karlelas on ABC seems to say "cissssenship".

And don't get me started on Ita Buttrose :)

Re: Political Coverage By the Media in Our Country - PART TWO

On the subject of "foreigners"... food for thought. Does anyone feel it's right for someone who lives in one electorate to be able to be elected and represent a different electorate? I realise that it's not the same as being a dual citizen... But there still, IMO, exists a similar "conflict of inter...

Over the course of the last 3 years, we have gone from having 6 electrical engineers across the site to two. And the other EE has only been here for 3 months, so he's still quite green. My duties have expanded tremendously, and the amount of work that I have now on my plate is overwhelming. I'm not ...
