Re: Political Coverage By the Media in Our Country - PART TWO

I'll put this out there too... the mainstream media gives TOO much credit to the more fringe politics of the likes of Pauline Hanson and the "once fringe" on the other side Sara Hansen-Young ... I'll put the idea out there to chew on, that the mainstream media attention (regardless of being positive...

Re: Political Coverage By the Media in Our Country - PART TWO

Hmm........................... Lauren Southern- I hope she pays her additional security bill and doesn't leave it to the tax payer, like that other slightly entertaining young far right tool, Milo Yiannopoulos did. My goodness this is just like talking to One Nation people. They never bring real nu...

Re: Health Goals for 2018

So my 12 month anniversary of chemo came and went, so we are now up to 12 months since my depleted immune system dished up a nasty bout of shingles. I'd put a reminder in my phone calendar in big capital letters, because now I can get a vaccine. I definitely want this vaccine! I book the appointmen...

Re: Compressor Pedals?

I don't use a lot of compression... usually only around 2:1 to 5:1 (if we were to quantify it).... It's good to "tighten up" one's tone, but not squash it. I really get what I need from my zoom B3 My carvin amp also has a compressor, but I find it over-the-top and hard to use except for hard limitin...

Re: Rewinding a Stingray Pickup.

I loved this... Great instructional video, and the end result is great. The pickup sounds very much like a classic stingray... (too close to discern a difference)... It reminds me of that Louis Johnson tone... I like how you spent a bit of time explaining the shielding and earthing. That in itself i...

Re: Adding an active sub or a 115 Cab?

Here's what I have to say about bass guitar and frequencies.... One can certainly put a sub in to get a "little" more "depth" and "feel" into the low end, but it will do VERY little for the overall tone and punch of the bass guitar (which is an amazingly broad-spectrum instrument). Unless you're wri...

Re: FIFA World Cup 2018

Germans got too cocky after winning the Confederations cup with their under 23 team and mainly picked them for this World Cup. utter arrogance. Well done South Korea, they really deserved that win. and while we're at it, someone tell their coach Lowe that Beatles haircuts went out of style in 1966 l...

Re: FIFA World Cup 2018

I'm glad the ref's have turned the World Cup into prison ball. Not much Hollywood now is there? A lot of the falling over like a snowflake from the first round has disappeared once players realised it wasn't going to be paid. Not worth risking a yellow contining doing it. Well done Fifa, well done....

Re: FIFA World Cup 2018

if any OzBass members' kids are good at scoring goals, start gearing them up to be ready in four years time, WE NEED STRIKERS. What we need is good attacking midfielders that can run on and cleanup the mess ... Aaron Mooy can do that if Yedinak played a bit more forward and allowed them that space ...

Re: FIFA World Cup 2018

The diving is appalling. Why can't these multi million dollar players just play the game and not worry about the theatrics. Ruins what could be a decent sport if done right. Maybe making the goals bigger would help, or cut it back to 9 players per side? Most purists of the game are also appalled by...

I don’t understand Australians supporting other countries than their own? I didn’t think you got a choice in the matter.... ;) Maybe not everyone living in Australia is Australian ... .
