Re: Sterling Ray 34 help needed

Yep, give it a go yourself. It will take u longer to unscrew the control plate screws that it will to actually solder the connection. You could always check out YouTube if you aren't sure and then do a bit of practice on some spare wire. It is good to develop skills - saves time and money provided y...

Re: Build #12 - 6 string fretless (warning; crazy content)

I still have another wing to do. What really messed me up were a few roundover spots where the wood started to tear out. There's more of that on the other wing. I think it's time to sharpen my router bits... or find softer wood. It sometimes helps to look at climb cutting in certain spots with the ...

Re: 3D printing?

I have a mate who designs and makes all sorts of things using a middle of the range 3d printer and he was telling me about using an ?acetone vapour box to smooth out the ridges from the printing process. It might be worth giving it a crack if you know someone with one.

Re: What is the frequency range if the ....

I'd say that 'Q' factor would vary amp to amp.....so hard to say. What are the center frequencies of the controls either side of it?

Re: BEAD Setup

I got a set of BEAD Kalium/Circle K on a P and they sounded great. You can have them if you like, I won't ever use them again, I've gone boring standard 4 string tuning for good. Thanks mate - I'll go with what's on order, perhaps someone else could benefit from the Circle K's...Why did u revert to...

BEAD Setup

Hey All I'm interested in setting up one of my P-basses in BEAD tuning. I've read a bunch of different ways to go about it and then came across these strings from GHS http://www.ghsstrings.com/products/19714-bead-tuned-bass-boomers?category_id=1964722-bass-boomers I've ordered a medium light set to ...

Re: Warwick Factory Tour, Part 2

Have you looked into aniline dyes Michael? I used to use them often on highly figured timber veneers and solid timber back when I was making decorative boxes. Mix with water or metho (my pref) and they penetrate exceptionally well. Done this way, there was no bleed into any clear oil based finish so...

Re: Where can I buy a "SHORT" TRS to dual TS cable

I've got heaps of cables for my home studio from them without any issues/failures, Bazz.....maybe u had a run of bad luck? OP - You can always make one from a few components from Jaycar if you are handy with a soldering iron. X2 MONO jacks and single Stereo jack and a bit of twin core cable with a s...
