Thanks fellas - I just had another look and it looks like the sleeve of the jack was shorting to the chassis. The hole drilled in the chassis is a touch small for the plastic part of his AC jack plugs and not really concentric to the socket at all! I pared a bit of the plastic off the end of the jac...

Sounds like something is amiss if it won't track to the harmonic. Maybe someone else has one u can borrow to A/B them if you can be bothered that is!

+1 for the polytune 2 too!! I've not had any tracking problems with it in standard or drop D tunings

Out of interest, does the TU3 misbehave with a 12th fret harmonic?
