One of those things ... .

Started hand-sanding option 8 and while it won’t be a 5 minute job I might get it done in 30 😉. Definitely easier on the wood.

Re: Future Builds - Kinda Not Random

Good to see Blaine in the workshop today finished the super-secret project. Bad news first: the wenge board #7 is toast for two reasons: 1) The nut end of the board came unstuck while radiusing with the router, and I didn't notice it - the board is now significantly thinner at that end, plus there's...

Re: Future Builds - Kinda Not Random

Slow slow slow - wrapping up my lecturing duties for the semester tomorrow and will then have more time available to progress the wood part of the build. Received these today (thank you, George, for organising them). Very useful 4-way rotary switches, as found in Dingwall basses: https://www.flickr....

Is it made of nitro-safe rubber bits?
It gets a little “sticky” but I haven’t noticed any marks on any of the finishes.

I think it's a Warwick (but could be wrong) - designed for 5 but easily holds 9 if you're careful.

8 ohms, 600W (Eminence Deltalite speakers), horn (but no attenuation), approx. 35 kgs. There's an old "for sale" thread with more details.

$450.

Re: Future Builds - Kinda Not Random

Would have made a nice top in itself (glued together the other way, of course): the wenge contrast layer for the neckthrough Kermit:

Re: Darkglass 900 v Bamp

Have to flog the Genzler horse here - I have never found my Magellan 800 lacking anything. You have two contour options (one scoops the mids and slightly boosts bass and treble, the other boosts low mids while rolling off bass and treble) and a useable drive channel on top of the clean channel. And ...

The grumpy face is in no way a statement on the quality of the instrument ;) .
