Re: Political Coverage By the Media in Our Country - PART TWO

I would extend that to groups such as Hizb ut-Tahrir, connected to language and means of violence, active and allowed in Australia, but who are banned in Indonesia (July 2017), Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. https://www.counterextremism.com/threat/hizb-ut-tahrir http://www.thej...

Re: Political Coverage By the Media in Our Country - PART TWO

Channel 7 is getting boycotted by me. Any place seeks the views of neo nazis and merely describes them as right wing activists disgusts me. Chilling indeed. I hope the MSM, and local government, eschew all anti-Semitic and anti-Christian reporting and decision-making. A lot more of this sort of thi...

Bacon doesn't agree with me, so my wife has kindly found a supplier of 'lamb-ham' - smells the same, but is not pork!
And no, it doesn't help me play slap any better.....

Re: Shipping a bass cab interstate?

If you wrap with reasonable protection, then compare Freight Exchange, Temando and TransDirect. Some even have $1k insurance thrown in. Best rates are for when sender and receiver are classed as a 'business' address, ie ie pick-up and delivery in business hours only.

Re: Who got a Christmas bass?

I didn't have you pegged as a Stingray type of guy
I know - there is so much to explore, and I've really enjoyed refining my old-school passives, but the rays do seem to characterise that definitive active sound, so - off on another exploration!

Re: Who got a Christmas bass?

^That's wunnerful!
Let me ask a basic question - which parts of body-making will you end up using it for? I'm looking to see if there is any application of it I've missed.

Re: The "What are you READING?" thread

I'm reading "Monash and Chauvel" - Roland Perry. I've rad a bit about them in other books, but this one appears well-researched in promoting what they did as innovative and largely unsung: - Monash was the first to use the 'blitzkrieg' method of combined arms. He used all the Australian Corps (AIF)t...

he intended to prohibit same-sex marriage and the passage of legislation to that end through the house The journo lost me with his credibility right there. It is absolutely shallow to say that. So if true, then anyone could have married someone of the opposite sex prior? For over 5,000 years that h...

Fix for where a sticker has left a non-faded patch?

I have seen a bass with a natural finish, but it has had stickers on it removed, and has left lighter colour patches. Probably a standard polyurethane finish. They are unsightly - any ideas on ways of reducing their contrast? - short of sanding back and starting again - think retaining orig logo on ...

Re: Having the strap nut on the back of the bass?

^I'm sure I've seen a few basses with a strap-pillar attached on a neck bolt - may need to (carefully) drill out the pillar to accept the larger neck-screw. If by more toward neck, you mean on the back of the neck-joint; then yes it is a typical strap-mount position, but I've found it makes the bass...

Thats a sweet red MTD - the traverse 'grain' really sets it off.
The Warmoth PJ shows how black block inlays make anything look transcendent - but then I've always liked block inlays....
