Re: Warwick Nobby Meidel

it has MANY advantages. The tuning system stays in tune much much better. Strings last longer coz they're not being wound, they get stretched. The only drawback was finding double ball end strings, but they have adaptors now to allow normal strings. Oh, and thay are really LIGHTWEIGHT Those are all...

Re: Warwick Nobby Meidel

They do come with a floor stand! they have a little socket on the bottom that fits into a little peg stand. I got a headless cort (Steinberger licenced one) a while back for about 350 bucks to use as a travel bass. it sits weird. very weird. its fun and I use it but its not my fav. If you are going ...

Re: Cole Clark Bass

Love the specs, but that shape reminds me too much of the washburn Taurus NT basses. just a bit yuck. And I normally like weird shapes (proud warwick dolphin owner here). just too blobby in the lower bout for me. nice horn though.

Re: Upgrading my Gear - Need your Advice

+1 to remembering the amp and cab setup, but there are some serious bargains to be had with them second hand. Beware some well known brands like squires, quality can be pretty bad sometimes, odd brands out of Japan can go cheap but be seriously good. My favs for silly value for money would be yamaha...

Re: Pressurewound Strings

I'm interested in this as well. I use the GHS on a fretless Korean Spector and don't mind the sound. I only use them because its FL with a rosewood board (stupid stupid stupid design as roundwounds eat the board in no time). If rotos make a bright string that won't eat the board I'd love to try them!

Re: Any Spector experts? Spectperts?

I have nothing but luuuurve for my Korean spektor legend. Its the set neck, EMG, 3-band model. I'm big fan of the 3 band over the tone pump. I got mine for 400 bucks off some weird punk on gumtree. turns out that fretless wasn't the best thing for his style! The FLs are nice but the rosewood board w...

Re: TC Electronic RS212

Any idea what shipping this to Adelaide SA would cost? I recon it might push the price up too much but its worth an ask. I've been gassing for a 2x12 for ages now.

Its a possibility, depends on the cab that Funkyjase is offering. I'm just sick of my 98 pound quad.
