Re: Blind test: MusicMan StingRay 2004 vs Cort GB75JH

Cort are making some pretty decent basses. I haven't posted this on NBD yet.....but I did purchase a brand new Cort recently (not this model though). It was an absolute bargain IMO and a very unique and versatile bass. Cort have always made decent basses. The best production line ABG you can buy in...

Re: Blind test: MusicMan StingRay 2004 vs Cort GB75JH

I own both (Cort GB5, which I believe is the previous version). Plus I have a J on my Stingray. They both sound good to me. The MM Pickups are the main difference from what I can tell. The SD pickup is brighter than the Musicman one.

Yamaha P80 Stage Piano 88 Keys - $350

An oldie but a goodie - one owner in Very Good Condition. Still has the original solid build and professional action. If you really want a piano to learn on this is much better than anything similarly priced new. It has a long sustain (check the sustain on the cheap keyboards). It has a beautiful ac...

Re: Who's got my bass?

I lent someone a Frank Zappa music book once. After wondering when it was coming back I went to his house and found all pictures ripped out of it hanging off the walls and fridge.

I don't mind if I lend someone a novel and it doesn't come back (karma) but that's my limit.

Re: WTB Bassman 100T or Super Bassman

If they were price matching there is a good chance they were scraping by on a very low margin. A lot of places must try to make it back on the little things like picks that still have a good margin.

What about compressors:

And those are just the ones he can remember.

Mike
This is the full list. http://www.ovnilab.com/index.shtml The other list is just the list of compressors that are more or less identical.
