Re: Behaviour on this forum.
best mods on any forum, thank you :) Totally agree with BazzBass's sentiments. I also missed the action but happy to see trouble makers gone for the good of the rest of the members that want to share and learn from each other. Great forum Phil and fairly modded by a great bunch of blokes  ...

Re: is there even a PJ set that works?
The Maton JB4 RI fretless I has a few years back sounded pretty good with the 3 way selector switch in the middle (both pups), not sure how the DiMarzio model P & J combo sound on fretted though.

Re: Ebay thread PART TWO - the good, bad, and ridiculous...
He replied with New message from: lela_lela3 (192Turquoise Star) don't assume ....The bass is a fender Japan bass, the neck was re worked by me, hence the crooked back of tuners, the pickups was replaced by me. I buy Bass bodys/necks/pick ups etc from ebay and fix them, and sell them as a whole bass...

Re: Ebay thread PART TWO - the good, bad, and ridiculous...
I just messaged the person. Me: "Hi there, very interested in this fender custom shop jazz, it's made in USA right? Regards, Pete." Them: "no the bass was made in japan and custom by me, the pickups are Sullivan, and it has x1 Vol, x1 Tone" My reply: "Right, so that explains why the tuners are crook...

Great to hear you've found the cure to that itch, well done.
Re: NBD
Thanks Jase, I played it at full noise through the Traynor and 2 NV115's and it surpassed my expectations for playability and tone. So much variation on tap between the tone control and right hand plucking position. Tone control rolled off is very pleasant to play, more definition and less mud than ...
Re: NBD
First off... I'm going to say that the buckle rash relic on the back looks a little too regular and artificial... Just make sure you wear a real buckle when you play it to get it looking a bit more authentic (never thought I'd be recommending that to anyone... lol) I totally agree Kerry, the buckle...
Re: NBD 83P
Agree'd love the look of this P, very nice and HNBD.maxgroover wrote: ↑03 Sep 2017, 11:36That's a great colour combo. Dig the cream pickup covers too. Congrats!
Re: NBD
You did chicken out on the joys of the two saddle bridge though. Yep, I wasn't keen on staying true in replicating everything and I actually liked the vintage thread saddles I ended up with as I've had them in the past and find them very usable. The idea behind the build was to have a vintage...
