Ok I've found a Yamaha BB1025x, this is pretty difficult to come across these days in Oz. I had to import mine after missing out when this seller had it at $999. It is brand new and shipping is $150. I piked on it and regretted it, eventually got mine off talkbass, had a nervous wait cos of CITES. ...

Plus it's 18mm spacing and 34" scale, not sure about the fretboard radius. Hopefully its big, I like a flattish large radius fretboard.

So what is market value on one of these? They pop up regulaly at Ishibashi UBox for around AUD$1000. As well as the pink from memory there was a light blue and a cream in that limited range, and possibly a surf green as well? Really? It's a cheap plywood body, so not worth anything and left handed basses are always harder to find.
I guess you're right, but no matter how cheap it is, I still find the workmanship a bit confronting.
