Re: Whats the deal with Eden Bass amps?

My 2c, and I know this I going to be unpopular. I bought the hype around the WT-550. Worst amp I’ve owned, and I’ve owned a few. Jack-all headroom, it used to trip the thermal protection during gigs. So much time in sounchecks and linechecks trying to pull a decent sound, and that’s with a P Bass. ...

Re: Mastering the fretboard - not!

I've been trying to make my brain work fast enough so I am playing notes AND patterns. While I usually have an idea of the notes around where I am playing, if I run up the fretboard quickly for a fill, well then its all patterns... my brain just won't process letters at speed.

you just have to learn the notes, or at least enough so that you can find the rest from there
I know the notes, but I default to patterns because it's easy to see them over the fretboard

Mastering the fretboard - not!

I have a confession. I haven't mastered the fretboard. I've been playing for over two decades now and its not for want of trying. I know where the notes are if I am going slow. But when I'm moving at pace in a song, I rely on scale patterns, typically being pentatonics, as I usually play pop/rock. I...

Re: Whats the deal with Eden Bass amps?

Is there much tonal difference if any between a WT550 and a WT800?

Re: NBD: Musicman

I won't say that's heavy ... for musicman. I think my SR5 is up around 4.9kg. It is heavy but just sounds great and I have to use a super wide DSL strap (5" padded), which I've just gone looking for online and it would appear they don't make them anymore - should have bought two :cry I would love a ...

Re: Political Coverage By the Media in Our Country - PART TWO

Couple of observations about The Insiders this morning. They are now going a long way to avoid criticism by the right of bias. I wonder if Barrie got a talking to after recently eviscerating that dope O' Dwyer. The ABC is cowed by this Government. The two "gentlemen" on the panel do not like Lenore...

Not really looking for a trade sorry.

Vintone yes ... perfect bass but I've completely failed you mate, in terms of committing to DB proficiency :(
Yes, I sold this after getting it off vintone. I've regretted it ever since, worth every cent IMO...
