Re: Backline win

The rig belongs to Kirk from Kilamaine and sounded massive, it had a scooped sound to it but that was more likely the EQ on the Ampeg. I play a down tuned 5 string and had masses of low end but the high end was a little harsh. Kirk tells me that this is caused by my active pickups and that the cabs ...

It’s not a big rig unless it would kill you if it fell on you.

Re: Who got a Christmas bass?

I got a Road worn p-bass from the most amazing partner I’ve ever had, I mentioned to her once three months ago that I didn’t have a precision and this turned up under the Christmas tree

Re: Mesa Powerhouse Drivers

A little on the expensive side but they are original equipment and The service I received from John ( a fellow Bass player) has been impeccable. I’ll post some pics when they arrive and ...

Re: Mesa Powerhouse Drivers

Thanks for the fantastic information, Pro Audio have contacted me and will get onto it early next week. Here are the pics of the drivers in question. I have my fingers crossed that they have a couple of old units hanging around.

Mesa Powerhouse Drivers

I have a Mesa Powerhouse 4 x 12 Cab that has two stuffed drivers in it, I have contacted Mesa for replacements but as yet have not received a reply. They are Eminence 12" 16 ohm Neo drivers and the only info on the speaker is the part number of 4512110-2 a. There is not much info on the internet but...

Re: NBD... Artcore 5 string

Looks great, how do you find the weight? My reading indicates it's pushing 6kg, curious to know how that feels/balances on a short scale It certainly weighs more than it looks like it should but still less than my Spector and yes there is an ever so slight neck dive but nothing a reasonable leather...

NBD... Artcore 5 string

ImageJust picked up this Ibanez Artcore 5 for a crazy price, I couldn’t not buy it. Although only a semi hollow body it definitely has some wood to its tone and I think will shine with a set of flat wounds in it.

Re: Post your rigs - PART TWO

Last Saturday nights rig kicked some serious butt, perfect for some 70’s Glam Rock. The 4x12 is far more mid forward than the two 4x10’s I have run in the past but work perfectly in a band setting and is so huge sounding. https://i.imgur.com/99MvAtz.jpg This Saturday I have a hard rock / metal gig. ...
