Re: Genzler Magellan 350

I'd buy the combo just because it has a built in trolley ! seriously, I would :) every cab maker take note, this is the new standard, please? Pretty sure I wouldn't Bazz. Check it out from the back (below). Those wheels look pretty useless unless your load-in is like a billiard table. It won't stack...

Re: POLL Winner - Sydney GTG Sat 4th Nov 2017.

I'll add to the "Wish to Try" list just in case ..... if anyone coming along has a Quilter Bass Block I'd be super keen to check it out.

I'll have the car loaded for a gig that night and I think pretty much everyone has tried everything of mine.

If you like a simple front panel, great price point and excellent tube like girth you might consider the Quilter BB800.
That is on my "love to try" list!

Re: MUSICMAN Sabre reissue - $1350

One day I will own a Sabre, but today is not that day unfortunately - timing is not quite right for me. But a great looking bass, good luck with the sale.

Re: Bass player needed for paid gig, Sat 2 Dec

Oh man Cherrybrook, I actually live there, it would be the closest I ever gigged to my home.

It almost goes without saying that I'm booked that night to play in Wagga hahaha.

Good luck!

Re: Thinking about a new amp...

I'd be interested to hear why you're considering switching from the Markbass actually?

Re: Thinking about a new amp...

I owned a GK MB 500 for a few years, currently own several Markbass LMIII's. I don't own an Aggie but I've used one on several occasions. You'll hate me but it really depends on what you want. If you're after something more traditional sounding with the option of some fur, I liked the Aggie. But rea...

I hope these photos work. I've used Google Drive. Let me know if others can't see them. Thanks Kingy for organising the afternoon.
Photos work fine for me. More photos to come from the others I hope, looks like a great lineup of basses there.

Re: NBD Stingray adventures

What a great read Greg, thank you for taking the trouble to document it all. If you can be bothered writing any more, I'd be grateful if you could document the exact products and processes you used on the back of the neck. Mike Hey Mike, I looked at the care instructions on the Ernie Ball site when...

Re: The OBF Product Review Thread....

Cool idea for a thread. I have a proposal, or possibly a challenge ..... how about ..... when we review something we currently own in here, we post a followup six months later? Do we still like it? Have we found something better? Did it break, did it withstand the slings and arrows of outrageous gig...

Re: NBD Musicman Sabre -updated

That sounds great to me. A really full but neutral kind of pup response that you could then do anything with. Good stuff! Mike The one complaint i keep seeing with the Sabre, is the neck pickup being too weak, which it is. Decided to redesign one yesterday and try it out. See what you thin...

Just curious Greg, has this affected the balance much? How does it feel on the strap now?
