Re: Shim in the pocket

If the string height, nut and neck relief are set properly and there’s a ramp, no a shim in the pocket will not help. You will likely either need to level the frets and recrown if it’s only slight, or if it’s significant pull the frets level the board and refret.

Yep, this is my old amp, I bought Mark's two channel and decided I couldn't hoard both of them. Definitely does the large warm round fat girth clean thing exceptionally well, very short and simple signal path helps with that I think.

This on top of my NV115s would be sexual.
Certainly would, I was using this on top of a sort-of-nv115, it was a 15/8 sealed made by LDS in the States to sound like a small NV610 (sort of like an NV115). Sounded glorious together.

Re: Fretting a Lined Fretless Bass?

Can be done for sure. This is the way I cut the slots for my first build by hand, after gluing on the fretboard and radius sand. Takes more time than a jig and a little more nerve wracking to do but that’s about it. Only negative is the side markers will be lined up on the fret not in the middle of ...

Re: Who is obsessive about their coffee??

The discount is usually 50c on the high end of prices, so a $4 coffee becomes $3.50. What gets me is places that aren’t doing a discount but seem to have taken it as licence to surcharge if you don’t use a reusable cup, so $4.50 normal and $4 with cup, and that’s a small/regular coffee. Luckily ther...

That is a very familiar before and after, I'm the same, especially with cleaning and gardening.

Re: Who is obsessive about their coffee??

What is considered manual and automatic? I consider anything the machine does for you automatic, even timing the shot like mine. That might be going too far though? I guess most people think automatic as dosing packing and pulling the shot for them? I want a completely manual machine but this delong...
