Re: Sneaky's random builds log

You'd still need a new bridge to go multi scale, but the Delano 4 (I assume) should work still. I'd be very interested to see a four string A-C at that scale, I also think an E-G would kick certain kinds of butt too.

Re: Sneaky's random builds log

I was going to say with the body shape like that multi scale would look great, and I’ve never seen a multi scale shorty bass so there’s your unconventional quota for the build too. My 6 string is 31-33". That short enough for you? :) https://i.imgur.com/cD5S7Vg.jpg Nah that’s definitely medium scal...

Re: Sneaky's random builds log

27-30” scale could be either I guess. Baritone to bass vi is just a string and nut change away.

Stingray 3 band clank

Continuing on from discussion on the trade thread here: http://www.ozbassforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=23823 I’ve gone from sunbeams to chromes hoping to tame the clank a bit, but it still rings out in that way I find unpleasant which might wear down on the chromes as they are still fresh but it an...

Re: Withdrawn

I meant that is a good deal, I don’t need two almost identical stingrays, or do I... I feel like the necks are same fretboard width as a P which I like but slightly slimmer from fretboard to thumb, quite nice for 4 string rays but the 5 is a whole other thing. I wouldn’t say baseball bat, I’ve had W...

Re: Sadowsky Bass Case $100

Oooh err, pity you're in NSW and I'm in VIC. I'm one bass up on the number of cases I have, and it gets dusty sitting on the stand. Perhaps I should just play it more.

Re: Future Builds - Maybe Random

I think the blue so far is cheeky, like “hello, what’s all this then...” but doing the fretboard too might be clobbering over the head a bit with colour.

Re: Let's See Your Basses... TWO! (Post Photobucket $)

Very nice. That's some interesting pickup balancing on the P there for sure! I assume it has raised pole pieces on the A, but why not the D... odd.
