Re: Velcro soft/loop alternatives

After some highly scientific feel tests at Bunnings it most feels like the loop side of 50mm wide Velcro brand heavy duty strength adhesive tape. I couldn't find any loop only at 50mm wide so it cost $27 for 2.5m of hook and loop, not terrible, enough to do a few boards. The stuff that comes with PT...

Velcro soft/loop alternatives

I dunno what carpet stuff is on the pedaltrain nano I got off here years back, but is about ten times better than the stuff that came with the pedaltrain metro I just got. The nano works with any old hook, the better hook, and the 3M hardcore stuff. Its plush so anything hooks to it. The pedaltrain ...

Re: External rechargeable power pack

Off the top of my head Pedaltrain Volto 2, Sanyo Pedaljuice, and a Joyo version. Lots of positive experiences on here for pedaljuice and joyo, not recalling much on the volto or the rockboard/Warwick you linked to.

Re: Using USB Batteries to power effect pedals...?

I can't see why the gsus4 won't work, but it's not really a power supply then is it. You need a USB battery as well, but do you want to carry a battery and a converter and have to pay for both? The copy is referencing the pedaltrain volto and for good reason, same use but all in one unit. If you nee...

Re: Shipping companies 2017

Pack and send have been very competitive recently, if you don't need the pack part. Depot to depot is insanely cheap.

New prices keep going up for Ernie Ball too, pricing themselves out of the AUS market IMO.

Re: >1K bass import via Thomann and Customs/GST??

that 50 euro flat fee doesn't include basses does it? From memory it includes bass cabs, so I would guess yes? I've been in touch with them in the past and they quoted me quite a high price on shipping. It could be the length of the item, I'll see if I can find some info. EDIT: it doesn't specifica...

Re: Political Coverage By the Media in Our Country - PART TWO

Ever wondered what happened to the Government's long awaiting Bill to tackle blatant and illegal worker exploitation of the type uncovered in some big franchise employers several years ago? Well have a read. They got busy lobbying the Government to do nothing. http://www.theage.com.au/federal-polit...

Re: >1K bass import via Thomann and Customs/GST??

You will, as Thomann will declare it valued over $1,000. Under $1000 including shipping cost and you won't get hit. Just be aware the conversion rate is when it is received in AU as the invoice will be in Euro, and which conversion rate they use is up to them. You can argue showing your credit card ...

Re: Opinions similar basses to the Stingray 5 body/neck design

The L2000 I have can do a stingray type sound, naturally, being evolved from a stingray, but not exact, I actually prefer the stingray sound exactly but you already have one so that shouldn't be an issue. The G&L also does a bunch of other stuff too, so it's handy that way.

Re: Anyone in/near Katoomba?

Coincidentally my wife's family used to live there ages ago so I'm familiar with how far out. Some great stories from the father in law on hijinks they used to get up to catching the train in to the city for work when he was young. I wonder how long that train ride would be now, many decades on, and...
