Re: Fender Jazz pickup cover over the bridge??

That is a brilliant idea, it doesn’t rely on pressure from up or down just the mass of the foam so should be as you describe very even. I might give that a go!

Re: TC Electronics RH450 that won't power up

Mine did this too, the main board was toast and would have cost almost as much as a new one to replace. Hope yours is an easier fix!

My tech had to buy a special screw driver to get in there as well.

Re: Ebay thread PART TWO - the good, bad, and ridiculous...

I was thinking I could probably pick up a decent Ray for $1500-$1600. I'm after a natural, single H with maple board. I'm in no hurry anyway (gotta sell some unused stuff first) but thought this ticks all the boxes but price is a little more than I want to spend (even if it is worth it) There's one...

Seems legit to me. $1600 is really good but not crazy enough to make me question it.

either the bridge or the pickups are out of alignment, look at the angle of the strings from the bridge base to the saddles lol
Early stingrays had this as well, must have been a late 70s/early 80s design 'feature'?

Re: The JMJ has landed - initial verdict

Ah nuts, that sucks to hear, hopefully you just got very excited and built up expectation, but that the reality is still quite good once it settles in and you get to know it...

Re: New JMJ Road worn Fender Mustang

My current main band it is THE sound I want and gets every gig and rehearsal, so you never know. I’m tempted by this as a backup/replaceable 66 Mustang... but can’t right now.

Re: FS: EB MM SR 4HH - $1500

A classy bass, and quality fit and finish. If anyone needs the standard official buttons let me know happy to supply free of charge, I had to buy a packet of them.
