Check out this ginger leggie bagging 8-for against the Poms in the U19 World Cup final. Sangha's catches at slip were fab as well.

Re: Political Coverage By the Media in Our Country - PART TWO

How desperate are Turnbull and Dutton ! :rollno: The leak appears to have gone to several Australian news publications and questions over whether the sting was politically motivated have risen again, with suggestions the leak might reflect an Australian Government frustrated with Ardern's position o...

Re: Blind test: MusicMan StingRay 2004 vs Cort GB75JH

Not much difference between the two tonally... The first one was a bit more "hi-fi" or clearer than the 2nd (less low mids?)... but only splitting hairs. Because I lean personally towards a sound like #1 and because I think that the 'ray should be the "better sounding" instrument... I'll pick #1 as...

Re: Cricket 2017/2018

re the Smithy decision - they used a million camera angles OTHER than the only one which would have been conclusive - side on. Ain't technology wonderful? I just want to say, not criticising Butler- often very hard to tell, particularly with the gloves on. I reckon a few of the ones they showed did...

Re: Cricket 2017/2018

Mark Taylor nailed it in commentary. It was deemed "Out" by the onfield umpire, so the video ref needed "conclusive evidence to overturn the onfield decision". Yes the best cameras angles were blurry, but Ray Charles would have been able to see it hit the ground. At the end of the day, Eng have out...

Actually, he should have been given not out from square leg, if that umpire was doing his job.

Re: Cricket 2017/2018

Hmmmm... am I just a cranky old man or are others starting to question what Davey Warner is doing? Oh wait a moment, of course I am a cranky old man. :) Well I'm certainly starting to question what the 3rd umpire is doing. How can you possibly give Steve Smith out when the ball is clearly hitting t...

Re: Cricket 2017/2018

The last hour is a perfect example of why I don't like 50 over cricket. Smith scratches around like an old "you know what" for too long, finally plays a shot and gets an absolute rubbish decision because of the stupid review rules. THE BALL HIT THE GROUND. Not out when I played cricket.

This is what happens when you dump a reasonable minister for no good reason.

Re: Cricket 2017/2018

At my last job in Sydney, I used to deal with a Financial Planning office in SA where I regularly swapped emails and phone calls with a young bloke who was playing 1st grade cricket and AFL. He was trying to break into the state cricket team, and from memory was also on the verge of signing with th...

Re: Political Coverage By the Media in Our Country - PART TWO

It's all well and good to have a cheap political slap at Labor State Premiers from the safety of Canberra when there is no one to argue back present (seems to be standard for the current Federal government), but not such a good idea when you are standing right next to them announcing something else....
