Re: Is there a bass overdrive that can go...

Blend it with your dry signal with a Boss LS-2 Line Selector. Works an absolute treat. Ultra versatile. Solved all of my OD problems.

Re: NBD - custom build 62 precision heavy relic

I've painted a couple of basses in Olympic white undercoat and then thin satin black/thin nitro lacquer overcoat in the hope they'll reasonably quickly relic themselves. Much like the Highway One series concept. Working great so far except the one night I had to play a show with insect repellent on ...

I didn't end up going, no. Nice gear rundown though, interesting he's running an Axe too
Yeah, I guess it makes plenty of sense, He's effectively replaced a full rolling rack of G-System, Sansamps and pedals with a single Axe FX and midi controller on the floor.

The Butterfly Effect Tour.

Anyone else go to any of The Butterfly Effect reunion tour shows? I went to a couple. Absolutely fantastic to see them in full flight again. Glenn's bass playing and tone were awesome. It looks like he'd taken 3 basses on the road this time - his usual black American Standard Jazz in a drop C tuning...

New (kind of) Jazz Build. (pics now working)

I've never really been much of an active bass guy, but recently I've been finding myself wanting a few more options tonally when DI ing straight into PAs at duo gigs. I happened across this Fender 18v Preamp from a 2013 American Deluxe and decided to have a go at fitting it. 2007 Geddy Lee neck 2001...

Re: Jazz bass bridge PU position - 60s or 70s?

I've never played much fretless but I've heavily played both 60s and 70s Jazzes, and I keep going back to the 60s spacing. But only because I play fairly heavy, detuned rock - the 70s spacing seemed to scoop out the frequencies I like too much, the 60s spacing seemingly less severely. But also, anch...

Re: is there even a PJ set that works?

A little while ago I bought a 2nd hand Schecter Diamond P for a film clip we made. I was planning to use it for the clip and then flip it. I decided to swap the gnarly ceramic stock P pickup for a Tonerider P-plus pickup I had as a spare. The result is incredible with the stock Schecter humbucker i...

Re: is there even a PJ set that works?

Here's what it looks like. This track was recorded with a nice Jazz Bass with Fralins with the bridge pickup rolled off about 1/4, the consensus is that the Schecter sounds way better so we used it for the rest of the record.

Schecter Model-T nut width.

Anyone have a Schecter Model-T? I'm trying to confirm the nut width. Many of the pictures I can find look like a 1.5" jazz width, a few folks over at TB say it's a jazz width, but the specs on the factory site and others say 1.653".
