Re: Pitch shifters... Recommendations???

I recently got Digitech's The Drop and so far I really like it. I've used it to "transpose" a song on the fly when the singer decided to change keys at the last minute. Normally I would just try as noise in my head but thought I would give The Drop a try. Super easy! Took all the guess work out aro...

Yeah same boat. Not a fan of fivers. You might just have to brush up on that bass swap routine.
Yeah I think so... I've just minimilised my setup so not too keen on hauling extra pedals around, just seems like a nice solution to my problem if they work as good as in theory.

Re: Pitch shifters... Recommendations???

What are you trying to achieve? Changing your bass tuning electronically? Doesn't sound very nice to me, not to be negative but I can't imagine that working out very well. Achieving this with guitar seems a whole lot more successful. Having played in bands with different tunings, I have always atte...

I use digitech The Drop....I'm thinking of upgrading to the digitech whammy as it does up and down

Let me know if you want to sell your Drop, I'd be keen to check it out.

Yeah The Drop seems to be the most straight forward to use.

Am I right in saying that you'd need the Whammy DT to replace it?

I quite like the EHX pitchfork for a small pedal with great tracking plus heaps of different intervals.
I was looking at that but didn't understand the technical jargon....

Can I simply drop a semitone at a time with it?

Re: Post your rigs - PART TWO

How do you find the B-Amp compared with the GK700rb head? Particularly when matched with the HD212 cab? Looking at a similar combination and tossing up whether to go GK700rb head or a lightweight amp. I've used gk for over twenty years, so I guess that has always been my sound. I struggled and spen...

Re: Who uses a sealed 410?

FWIW the tube amp theory doesn't apply to me..

I've used the same GK head for 20 plus years and recently added a b|amp to the fold.

Both sound much better through my nv412 than through my hd212. ( though I do have both amps set as growly as they will go)...

hows the b-amp with the nv412? been tossing up selling the momark and replacing it with a b-amp
I really like it, to my ears it's better than when paired with the hd212.

Then again, I think the nv412 will pretty much make any head sound good.

Re: Mesa Powerhouse Drivers

I doubt they are neo, the powerhouse range weighs so much it wouldn't be worthwhile or noticeable. Not nearly as noticeable as the hernia after carrying one around for more than a week anyway. I talk from experience with the powerhouse 810. They're 100 % neo... Here's the link to the specs.. http:/...
