Re: Small Power Amps

I sold my QSC power amp I was using with my preamp pedals and purchased a Quilter BB800, with the intention of using it as a Power Amp using the line in. After using the standard input however, I decided it sounded significantly better. I had looked long and hard at the Minnie, and also the now disc...

Re: Amp for Country?

I would think a Bassman would be awesome for country, but if you don't want to lug one of those a Quilter BB800 would be great I would think. Solid lows, highs are there but not glassy like many D class heads I've tried.

Hey Rocksolid,

Any idea on the cost to get this to Melbourne? I’ve been scouting for a P Bass.

Cheers!
Leave it with me mate.

Re: Compressor Pedals?

I have the Aguilar tlc, Seymour Duncan Studio Bass, and Empress.

Empress would be my first choice, followed by the Studio Bass.

Re: Help. Who can fix an Aguilar TH DI?

I had something that sounds similar with mine. Static, popped at times when turning on or off. Took it to my Tech, Rob at Pro Harmonics, he spoke to Aguilar. In short, it was static electricity build up, from a poor earth. The earth is done by a star washer/eyelet on a cable, held to the body of the...

Re: Whats the deal with Eden Bass amps?

I played Eden for the best part of 20 years, and loved the tone. I have heard it called the ideal rig for an audiophile because of the clean crisp highs and rich lows, but it definitely isn't a scooped tone - the 410xlt is one of the most mid aggressive rock cabs going. I think you ended up with bot...

Re: Fender TB-600

I had the Sunn 1200S which is where this and it's big brother the 1200 were derived from. Epic sounding amp. I have no doubt these are just as good.

Re: FS: EDEN 212XLT

This was mine. Fat sounding cab, with an old school vibe, with a nice amount of Eden sparkle. I'd put it in the same camp as the Tecamp L212.

Re: Record with flats, gig with rounds?

Just been playing my P with flats that's for sale. Think I'm just going to withdraw it. They do sound great. I will always record with rounds though. The attack on the front of the note is crucial with recording.. you can soften it if needed, but you can't put it in if it's missing.
