Am really digging Music Man vibe at the moment.
LOVE to get my hands on an anniversary model 20th / 25th 5'er

Digging the Sterling by Music Man Ray 35 again.
If you've got one of those and some spare cash we should talk :)

Re: Wanted - Ibanez SRSC805... (maybe BTB1605) trade for my Spector Rebop MM4

Xmas bump! Still available, and I'm still chasing a 5'er... (as per tittle - Ibanez SRSC805 - maybe BTB... or as per 1st page - Spector... Stingray... Warwick...) :) Also - have moved states now. Bass is now located in Bilambil NSW 2486 (just below the Gold Coast - about 20 min's inland of Tweed Hea...

Re: Who is obsessive about their coffee??

Obsessive...? Maybe not obsessive... LOVE a good bucket though.. Coffee snob... Yes! Haha! Only started drinking coffee since I turned 40 (44 now) but my wife reckons I went from zero to coffe snob. Won't touch instant. And only like the good stuff! Life is too short for cheap nasty anything really!...

Re: Favorite Strings?

Prior to the Pro-Steels, my first choice used to be DR Hi-Beams. Used them for years and years on my Soundgear, and they were fantastic (but bloody expensive!)

Re: Favorite Strings?

D'Addario 'Pro-Steels' for me. I favour the Medium gauge as the D & G strings are heavier (70 & 50) which help give more body and substance to those 2 strings. I find with my Spector the standard gauge D & G strings (65 & 45) disappear in the mix. The Pro-Steels feel good under the fingers and last ...

Re: Wanted - Ibanez SRSC805... (maybe BTB1605) trade for my Spector Rebop MM4

Hey did I tell you I made an unexpected stop at Mooloolaba Music a few weejs ago? I played your future bass, the Ibby single cut. Very nice, looks amazing! Sounds much like my SR805. BUT, they also have a SR755, with Nordstrand PJ pickups. I thought it was awesome. It was much heavier, but damn it ...

Re: Pros and cons of selling the big rig

Your head doesn't have a DI? I thought that was pretty standard on heads these days? Yeah of course! But for whatever reason the sound guys would refuse to DI from the head. It was the main reason I bought my own DI/Preamp so i could have some control over my sound That has been common practice at ...

Re: G&L Kiloton

So, it's like a passive Stingray? I'm probably missing the whole point of this bass, but I'm just trying to think of the last time a Stingray owner was overheard wishing his bass was passive .... nope, it's never happened. Yeah, I always prefer active electronics on my Bass, but thought this might ...

Re: G&L Kiloton

My concern is it sounds like the bass will be very heavy. Bad marketing is weighing me down already. "Magnetic field design", "tapered posts", "locks into the body", "I like showing it off because it is massive". :rolleyes And Steve, if you have a drum track going. Trying playing in time with it. :...
