Re: Making a Warwick neck less square shaped

Interesting that they only use reinforcement rods at the upper end of the neck. That's where I would have thought, being a little thicker and closer to the body, it would have been more stable?

Re: Polaris Basses by Dr. Bass

Agreed! I'm not Mark King (but even he slaps on 16.5mm)

I have found two sizes of mandolin fret wire:
Narrow/low .053" x .037"
Narrow/medium .080" x .040"
Which is your preference?

Re: Polaris Basses by Dr. Bass

Thanks. The spacing felt right on both basses.

A great day! Thanks to everyone for sharing your gear.
I'm inspired to go to 35" ... and currently searching carbon fibre rods and smaller fret wire!

Re: Sydney '17 GTG Ropes Crossing Photos

Thanks everyone for a great arvo and for sharing all your gear. It was good to match faces to names and see and try some amazing gear like a '78 Musicmaster, a Starbass ... and a Wal! And Michael, your basses looked fantastic in the photos but amazingly, even better in real life. And they play brill...

Re: Rant Thread !

Ordered some strings online (Ernie Ball Cobalt Flats). They're cheaper online but its a long wait. They arrive after two weeks. G String breaks before it even gets to standard tuning... I've got a spare EB Cobalt flat set (minus the D string) ... same issue, broke tuning up from 432Hz to 440 Hz. Do...

Re: Favorite Strings?

I have the Ernie Ball Cobalt Flats and love them. But I too had the same problem and snapped the D string tuning from 432Hz to 440Hz. I thought it was my error. How did you arrange a replacement? Through the store or through EB direct? So I've got my old La Bella flats on the P bass. What I love abo...

I did, but decided to keep it as I preferred it over the MXR and Spectracomp.

Re: POLL Winner - Sydney GTG Sat 4th Nov 2017.

In addition to the bass, TC BH250 amp and Hartke HD112 cab, I'll make sure I'll bring the 2 gig bags Michael bought off me.
And I'll bring some new FX pedals: Boss BC-1X compressor, Digitech Luxe, EHX Canyon and EHX Freeze as well as the Boss GT-1B multi FX processor (unless it sells earlier)

Re: Sneaky's random builds log

So slightly embarrassing moment ... I have been working on a 30” build prototype for a while. I had started with and EVH Wolfgang template as a starting point. As a reminder http://u.cubeupload.com/Sneakyjak/698388D322EB4A65AE58.jpeg As it turns out Mr Scott Whitely appears to have done exactly the...
