Re: Photobucket Alternatives

When we installed the new sharing plugin, I posted an incomplete, but comprehensive example of available options here:

(which reminds me, Phil - we need to update the plugin...)

Re: Photobucket Alternatives

Google Photos, just paste the link. There's a caveat to this, google photos doesn't work directly. Here is a share link shared directly from google photos: https://photos.app.goo.gl/H6HTuVwfgsyCLZKS7 https://photos.app.goo.gl/H6HTuVwfgsyCLZKS7 There is a workaround, you need to connect google photo...

Flickr which was just "acquired" by Smugmug. Regards, Michael Is that good or bad? I'm getting frustrated with imgur and the free limits. Yahoo was the previous owner of Flickr, who I've always found to be one of the most tonedeaf tech companies out there. I've been a paying smugmug customer for al...

Congrats Pete, and amazing work Blaine - the initials are a wonderful touch.

Blaine, yours and the generosity of many more of the people on this forum is nothing short of inspirational, and continually leaves me speechless.

Re: Maton MGB4

I'm battling to understand the distinction here between the MGB and JB basses - they have the same pickup config, both neck-through, both sassafrass bodies. Best as I can tell, there's a slight difference in the horn/headstock carving, someone mentioned active circuitry in the MGB, and I'm guessing ...

Re: 2018 iPhone killers?

I have no idea how these compare to iphone, but my recent experience: Samsung S7 My favourite phone of the moment - it's a plain flat screen, medium sized, good camera, just very functional. I've deployed this as our current gen fleet phone at work Samsung S8/plus The good: * great camera and hardwa...

Re: Replacement shoulder straps for gig bags?

Thanks for that - 75-100 seems reasonable then (for Gigbag TM at least). Quite a lot of the stuff on ebay I'm finding is just over shoulder strap replacements which are _really_ long and I'm not sure are going to do the job...

Are the cheaper ones long enough ?
I literally have no idea what "long enough" is - do you have any you could give us a measurement for?
I'm concerned about getting them too long and having the bag slooped behind my knees

Replacement shoulder straps for gig bags?

Hi Folks, I've got a couple of old gig bags which have missing/broken shoulder straps - has anyone ever looked into replacements for them? The bags themselves are pretty rubbish so I'm not interested in spending a lot, but they do need to be secure (metal clasps). There's plenty of options on ebay, ...
