Re: Mesh wifi setups - anyone using one at home?

Have you considered a powerline adaptor? Ethernet through the powerpoint. They're meant to be pretty good these days. These guys are generally as good as the wiring/wiring topology in your house. I don't believe they operate across phases at all either (or at best nowhere near the advertised speeds).

Re: Mesh wifi setups - anyone using one at home?

I use, and recommend ubiquiti gear for this (at home and at work). They offer product features that in the past Cisco would charge you 5+ figures for. https://www.ubnt.com/products/#default I bought 4 unifi ap access points second hand for about $100 (25 each) and they give me seamless, single ssid ...

I remember seeing them in Griffith 20ish (ouch!) years ago. One of my all time favourite gigs - wish I could get along to this

Re: Rant Thread !

Our little boy had to do his first overnight in hospital a couple of nights ago. He's ok, gets discharged and they try to Bill our private health - gets rejected, twice. I call up the health insurer, and our boy is not listed on our policy. They have the record of when I changed my single policy to ...

Clip of my band some time ago. I just put the guys together, last minute thing and I think this was the first time we played together. No rehearsal or anything like that. Groove felt good.

Jaw droppingly good :notworthy:

Really enjoyed the tour, and particularly seeing where the automation is taking place (and where it isn't).
Thanks for sharing :)

I have 3x electric guitars, all red. Weirdly my red thing didn't translate to my basses - I have no red ones :p

Looks great, how do you find the weight?

My reading indicates it's pushing 6kg, curious to know how that feels/balances on a short scale

Re: Question: Wal Bass

Enjoyed reading all the feedbacks! Would love to get a chance to hear what it sounds like in person. Like all other high-end basses, there will be split opinions ofc, which is inevitable. In the meantime, if you haven't seen this yet - here's Sic608s demo: http://ozbassforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=301...

Yep. My wife's dad is Sicilian (born), it's what they use, and we've ended up with the stove top unit too :p

Re: Who is obsessive about their coffee??

I had a mate who was a barista, claimed his Cafe made the best coffee in Sydney, custom blends, barometric measurements and adjustments every half hour, stuff I didn't understand. Having tasted the best, no other coffees compare apparently, so now he just drinks instant(!) I got into my coffee a few...

Re: The best P/J Pickup Set so far! OzBass made!

No problem. Happy to make the for anybody who'd like to try some. I would have eventually tried some in my JB4, except Bassline bought it from me, before I got to it. I have a set of split J pickups, that I think work really well too AND you can actually solo either pickup without noise. :hyper: Th...

Stoked to hear this has worked out for you - @aphekgreg after Bill season and Christmas season are over, I'd love to have a chat with you about building a set for my fretless JB4?

Re: Quiz: Can You Name the Bassist by the Bass?

I only went one better than you. Weirdly, there was only a couple where the bass really gave it away for me. The rest were more about the little bits of extra detail in the surrounding image (tats, clothing style, and in Victor Wootens case, his finger shape 😆)
