Re: Show Your Pedal Rehousing's

I don't know Anthony, it looks more like flouro orange to me.....

Isn't autocorrect a pain!

Some sort of distortion pedal is my guess.

Re: Thoughts on Melbourne GTG 2017

Sorry I'm out for July guys. Umpiring the winter state tournaments now, I put my hand up when they were looking for volunteers for one or two and ended up being one of two guys covering the whole lot. U18, U16, U14 and God help my knees the U12's. Way too short those kids....

Remember that mistakes take 30 minutes to fix and become design features!

Sorry i couldn't hang around and catch up with you guys today. Would of have liked to see both the new builds and you in the flesh.

Did see a rather nice blue bass coming together though.

Re: Carrying a guitar into Aus

I've always wondered myself about how I'd go proving the instrument I took out was the same one I brought back. I could prove the one coming out easily enough with photos from GTG's, shows and for the home insurance but if I brought a new bass OS and I couldn't show I had it before I left.... I'd th...

Re: Build 06

Some good tips there Michael. :yep I'm going to try this on my current build if I can ever find the right piece of timber for the top :? Just pick a piece and get going! You said I was going slow I'll have Sharon's violin and the other bass finished before you get started at this rate! Michael. Nic...

Re: Change neck pocket corner radius?

Guys you're going at this all wrong. 1) Place the new neck above the socket it's going to fit into 2) Not so gently hit it with a large hammer till the shape of the pocket is gouged into the back of the neck 3) Whittle with a pen knife until it sort of fits whistling the banjo duet from Deliverance ...

Re: Monique gets a face lift!

Hi Michael, in the Dove Cage the cover screws into the chassis with 3 screws down each side where the handles are. The chassis is the same for both types of cover I'd bet now he has Bamboo and Dove Cage available, your's would have the same retaining nuts for the screws I'd think. The Bamboo kit com...

Re: looking to do my first refret on a Framus Jazz box

For fret wire OS you have a few choices like Warmoth or Stewmac. Locally, or at least Australian, you have Australian Luthier Supplies amongst others. What fret wire? Smaller frets than what you have.... :rollno: Choices are not endless but there are lots of choices of material and size. And yes the...

Re: Monique gets a face lift!

Thanks for the nice comments guys. Looks great! Did someone sell just the bamboo shell without the Monique? What are you going to do with the dovecage? Yes they did and it's just sitting in the cupboard right now. Would you like it? To make the conversion you remove the dove cage handles, exchange t...
