^ I thought you had one of these Mark but couldn’t remember whether it was a Nash or not. Didn’t you have a shirt to match?

Re: Latest Builds

The last project got shipped today so I'll be able to put up a couple of pictures next week but in the mean time I started the next one. So branching out a little for a friend who wants a Ukulele. To make things a little easier I brought the Stewmack tenor kit so I could avoid having to make a form ...

Re: Tube Amps

Hi Vin, It's modelled on a B-15NC (1964) with B-15NF modifications (1965-67) which puts a switch in to put the EQ either pre or post the volume. 30-40W head only but can handle the KT88 Power Tubes with the transformer design so could do a bit more like 50W. This does have a pre-amp out though so co...

Re: Tube Amps

I have been looking around, checking out schematics, what the parts are going to cost and the equivalent in kits. Found a very nice looking Canadian kit builder who looks more than reasonable against buying all the bits, building a chassis etc. Pricing will still be up around the $1200 mark though. ...

Re: Tube Amps

I said yes Blane, but i'm not sure when I would use it seeing as I already have a Monique. I suppose it would have to be a very small venue and a gig that I wanted more tube vibe than i could get from just Monique. Same boat here Michael although I tend to take Monique out when it's a special gig o...

Like a few others here, I would be interested in some sort of tube preamp. Just can't swing 2.5k for a Monique, so for the time being I have to record through a dodgy U5 :(
Or borrow mine! All you have to do is ask.

I said yes, but realistically, no, and I can't change my vote.

Re: Tube Amps

I’d love to have something like a Monique in a pedal form :) Dunno exactly how it matches a Monique, but this is a tube pedal that looks like a good design - the tube are running at high voltage so it should sound and act just like a proper preamp. http://frogpedals.com/index.php/category/frog-tube...

Re: Tube Amps

What's the definition of reasonable? I was going to build a all valve bass head, before I bought my Traynor YBA300. I realised the parts were going to cost more than the already built amp. You're right Greg. Parts plus margin will still see me costing more than a production amp. So the marke...

Re: Tube Amps

I would rather see you clone your Monique for a good price Blaine :hyper: I have recently bought a Ampeg PF50T so I have the small tube amp covered. Not going to replicate Monique. It's not out of production, Jule makes his living from it and it's schematics are not available in published literatur...
