Re: VW Golf Gti

I don't have any experience with the Golf but when I buy a new car I take my gear with me in the old one and see if it fits. I made the mistake once of not doing that and had to buy a new speaker cab because the boot looked big enough but the angle wasn't right. I loved the idea of having a mini wag...

“That, and I notice owners don't seem to sell their Monique unless life absolutely forces them to...”

I even brought mine some new clothes I like it so much. It’s super sexy in its black bamboo case.

Re: FS: Acoustic Image Clarus+ and TEN2EX

I still use AI gear, love my Glock too but the Azola sounded sweet through this amp and had to buy another one. Good price folks, for some top gear, off a nice bloke.

Re: Battery powered amp

Hi Michael, I brought Sharon an NS Violin a few years back and a Roland AC-33 amp to go with it. It became the PA for our Church the other week, when the power was down for line works in the street. Surprised me on how decent it was filling that venue. It's here if you want to try it out. It's not p...

Re: Replacing Fretboard

I routed my first fretboard off and it didn't go well. I was a novice and know better now but I wasn't as careful or planned as I should of have been. The fret board has to be level, as does the neck it's sitting on. You have to have something to guide the router on that isn't the board if they are ...

Re: Replacing Fretboard

Are you a little bit handy with wood-working tools? Doesn't really matter because David and Rob can walk with you through the job at MSGM. New fingerboard is between $70 and $100, check out http://luthierssupplies.com.au for their range of boards, or the guys have stock of maple etc. Couple of hours...

Re: Knobs That Don't Spin Evenly Fix

Did you try other materials for the infill to see if it effects the tone? Is a plastic pick still ok for playing metal or would a piece of steel be better?

Re: Who's got my bass?

Did we establish what type of bass it is? Yeah no we haven't. No real need as if you've got my bass you'll know you've got it. I don't anything that is "common" and could get confused with another one like it. The thread is here to prompt the guy who has the bass to contact me and put my mind at ea...

Re: Rant Thread !

That looks great, but there's no pricing information. And how would that work for a setup which had several chest freezers plus several display freezers? Can you have several temperature sensors all going to one central "brain"? You can have lots of sensors reporting back to the central unit. The l...

Re: Rant Thread !

Pete, one of our companies sells a little package with a range of remote sensors that can be accessed by your mobile and comes with email alarms. It's all sold on a monthly rental type of arrangement. So in your case you could have a temperature sensor in the freezer alarming when it gets a bit too ...

Re: slashin_velvet's 1st full build

You'll get that when using different woods, the nature of the beast unfortunately, with the different grain directions. Try taking the blade of the plane down as far as you can so that it's not so aggressive, = less tear. Then when you are close switch to a long sanding block for the last little bit...

Re: slashin_velvet's 1st full build

... I'll try and take a snap of the neck tonight - but I'm a bit embarrassed to share that here given how good everyone else's builds are. We all started somewhere so there is no need to feel embarrassed. The saying around the shop is that a fix is only going to take 30 minutes and if it can't be f...
