Re: Who's got my bass?

Did we establish what type of bass it is? Yeah no we haven't. No real need as if you've got my bass you'll know you've got it. I don't anything that is "common" and could get confused with another one like it. The thread is here to prompt the guy who has the bass to contact me and put my mind at ea...

Re: Rant Thread !

That looks great, but there's no pricing information. And how would that work for a setup which had several chest freezers plus several display freezers? Can you have several temperature sensors all going to one central "brain"? You can have lots of sensors reporting back to the central unit. The l...

Re: Rant Thread !

Pete, one of our companies sells a little package with a range of remote sensors that can be accessed by your mobile and comes with email alarms. It's all sold on a monthly rental type of arrangement. So in your case you could have a temperature sensor in the freezer alarming when it gets a bit too ...

Re: slashin_velvet's 1st full build

You'll get that when using different woods, the nature of the beast unfortunately, with the different grain directions. Try taking the blade of the plane down as far as you can so that it's not so aggressive, = less tear. Then when you are close switch to a long sanding block for the last little bit...

Re: slashin_velvet's 1st full build

... I'll try and take a snap of the neck tonight - but I'm a bit embarrassed to share that here given how good everyone else's builds are. We all started somewhere so there is no need to feel embarrassed. The saying around the shop is that a fix is only going to take 30 minutes and if it can't be f...

Re: Who's got my bass?

No Nick its not that one, and t's fully functional mate is below the pool table. I did see the neck at MSoGM the other week and recognized it pretty quickly. I did find my first mod job bass when I pulled the house apart. A 5 string Vester Maniac I defretted way back. I'll have to take it down to th...

Re: Who's got my bass?

Yes I knew you didn't have it Michael, way to big for you. And no Jeremy you can't have the Monique, Ivan has already requested I loan it to him under the same circumstances.

Re: Classic Build #1 The whole bass and nothing but.....

The violin came up ok, just don't look too hard, it plays really well and Sharon was blown away so I won Xmas this year. I think the boys did a terrific job and I'd like to have a shot at doing another one down the track. You always do a bit better next time around.

Re: Future Builds - Maybe Random

It's most impressive when you cut down a board to make the two blanks without a line to follow and I agree with Ivan, you were very efficient in getting what you needed to do done. My new project is a telecaster type guitar in the Thinline style and I am breaking more of my own "rules" as this will ...

Very happy we caught up last night. Lovely seeing that very special bass get painted and the attention to detail with the fret work. What's the next one going to be?

Who's got my bass?

Guys and gals, Sorry to bother all of you with this but I've lost track of one of my basses and having checked the usual suspects I am at a loss to who might have it. So if you have one of my basses in your possession can you please let me know. Yes I am a bit embarrassed having to ask, yes I have t...

Re: Who got a Christmas bass?

Nothing bass related from Santa for me this year. Dont really know what i would have asked for as it stands. The interior minister is happy for me to keep out of her hair at MSGM so thats present enough for me. I did get No.2 son a Wah Wah pedal though. And so his journey to the dark side has begun.
