Probably something to do with the terrible weather. The UK has several, too.
Not so bad today but give it 30 minutes or so...

Re: It finally happened

Nah you're not a gear geek till you can tell what strings were on the bass. But yes I'm the guy who, when he goes at all, buys tickets behind the sound desk at concerts to what the boys do their thing so I know where you're coming from. Didn't you hate it when they'd fake radio mikes by putting a pi...

Re: The JMJ has landed - initial verdict

Sad to hear the bass isn’t what you expected. Where to from here then? To be honest, i dont know. .... Andy If I can help with using shop time at MSGM just let me know. There is even a guy there who does custom pickup winding. And yes the Photobucket links are not working. Imgur is your best friend...

Re: The Fender JMJ Mustang has landed - now with photos

Selling it isn’t going to be an option I’m guessing but what about fixing it up a bit? Get the neck re-done so it’s not so sticky or busted finish wise? Different pups maybe and it’s a player with the looks your after. I know that’s good money after bad but you’re not going to play it as it is it se...

Re: Recommend a good multi-guitar stand

I have 2 Warwick ones, one in the music room and another to go out with. Their pretty good but the foam ends keep coming off the one that travels, then you have a bare metal tube to deal with when you put the bass back in the keeper. Mark: I would think you could build one of those stands for a lot ...

Warwick is now distributed by Amber Technology rather than Dominant so you could try them
When did that happen? though it's been a few years since I needed to get stuff for my Warwicks.

Re: Warwick parts

Depending on what you’re after, for example you can get equivalent pup screws from local luthier supplies but for actual Warwick parts you’re going to go via Dominant or Bass Centre. Yes they are expensive going direct to their online store. I’ve done better having one of the guys above get the part...

Re: Company which will cut pickguard material?

What I have done in the past is use my mates laser engraving machine. He's an electrician that makes up electrical boards that need labels above the switches etc. In my case I drew up the pick guard shape and the machine cut it out from a jpeg file. Maybe there is someone close to you who does that ...

So I've been coping a bit of flack about what I have been doing at MSGM recently. So here is what has happened over the last few months. I don't think I can compete with the amazing work coming through the shop but I can be different. Stainless Steel fretless, inspired by LeFay Basses. Love what tho...
