Re: FS: Left Handed EB Musicman Stingray 4 String

Paul-
This is a beautiful bass but unfortunately (?) it is a lefty. There are a few of us on the forum but it does mean that the market it small. So you may need to wait for a while and/or advertise more widely?
GLWTS anyway...

Beyonce Lemonade, and Solange Seat at the table- great bass playing on both.
Frank Ocean Blonde
"Lemonade" has brought back my faith in albums too.

Re: Ozbass for electronic music/midi

A visit to StoreDJ might be the answer- worth trying pads as well- especially the Push- bit expensive perhaps but very nice.

Liveschool in Sydney are very good (in my opinion anyway) and they have some information online https://liveschool.net/ Also there are Ableton Facebook groups in a lot of places- ...

FS: Nickel string sets (gone)

I have two sets of long scale nickels that have never been used and I'm unlikely to use them.

So $5.00 per set to cover postage in Australia?

DR Sunbeams 45-105 (round cores)

Rotosound Swing Bass RS66LDN 45-105

Re: Blues Artists Suggestions

Best thing to do is go to your favourite streaming service (Spotify for me) and look for a blues playlist.

Some of my choices-
[Australian]
Blue eyes cry
Ana Popovic
Jules Boult
[Other]
Jimmy Reed
Bonnie Raitt
Willie Dixon (great bass playing...)

Love the effect myself. As with most extreme effects (especially delay) the reggae people do it best- Popcaan is my current favourite.

Re: Worth getting ? "Standing in the shadows of Motown" book

Agree with all the positive comments- even just listening to the performances of the lines is fascinating.
One thing to note is that you do need to be able to read- no TAB.

Re: Stand alone compact Class D power amps?

So I understand that they aren't compact, but

looks pretty good? I imagine they use standard ICE modules so there should be no reliability issues. You would need a couple of bits of gaf to cover the "iNuke" name though.

If it were me I'd go into the Bass Centre and try the Cort- http://www.basscentre.com.au/collections/left-handed-basses Very good value I reckon. Or the G&L Tribute- http://www.jacksmusic.com.au/showroom/glguitars/basses.html is a beautiful bass. I have an American Standard P lefty sunburst in excel...
