Welcome Buz.. I would figure your bass has PJ pickups ? If so a standard PJ wiring diagram would be the go.

I just looked at the gigbag I use which is Gigbag (TM) and I have them set at about 90cm but I adjusted them to 80cm and they work OK. 80cm is maximum length on those cheaper options. Your gigbag may be different.

These are nice studio preamps for everything but are really good on bass. The transformer has 2 windings and by changing the gain and output level you get lots of variation in tone and harmonic richness. They are of solid build too.
