Re: NBD Musicman Sabre

I suppose what made the 3 band work for Flea was that he played through a GK rig and I suspect had the mid contour happening which must make is sound more like a 2 band.

Re: NBD Musicman Sabre

Ok.. So horrid is a bit extreme :yep . There is just such a massive difference even when they are supposed to be flat. The 2 band is so much smoother, yet clear and articulate.

Re: NBD Musicman Sabre

As I have said before, I reckon 4kg is the sweet point. Below that they feel really light and every gram above that really adds up.

So what does this have to do with SSM ? That is a pretty flimsy argument you have there Pete. The conservatives are always right.

Re: Political Coverage By the Media in Our Country - PART TWO

One of the things about living in a regional town is that I walk everywhere. Which is good on a nice day but the longer you live in a place the more people along the way you have end up having to stop and chat with. What used to be a 20 min walk to somewhere is now 30-40 mins. It is tough being popu...

Re: Carpal tunnel surgery

I was talking about this to a friend the other day who is an Acupuncturist. He says he gets a good level of success in treating people with mild to medium symptoms. If you are really bad then surgery is the only way. He deals with lots of tradies like brickies and tilers.

Re: Fender Professional Series Precision

Have you tried selling the guitar online via Facebook pages or guitar forums ? I wouldn't expect the shop to be doing you any favors. I have no idea what a '78 strat is worth but surely it would have crept up in price in recent years. Being a lefty does make things somewhat harder to find instrument...

Re: Negative Gearing

^ Of course negative gearing can be applied to shares too. The margin loan you mention is the same as a loan on an investment property. The interest is tax deductable. You just need to be aware of the value of shares to loan ratio so you don't get caught out on a "margin call". Which means you have ...

Re: Negative Gearing

The only calculator I can think of is using the actual TAX online through MYGOV and putting in the figures of your earnings and you deductions etc and seeing what it comes up with and not saving or submitting the results.
