Re: ELRICK BASS GUITARS - IN STOCK

Thanks for that George. I do know you're quite busy give all those Sire bass boxes I saw in your facebook post

Yep....this is one lovely bass. And if you say the B string on this one is just as good then I have no doubt at all that that's the case.

Re: Fretless has dead notes on all first 'frets'

Try a setup first.....adjusting the neck, maybe raising the strings. If that works then just set the intonantion and you're off.

If that doesn't work then the nut height may be too low or the board may need to be levelled.

Re: ELRICK BASS GUITARS - IN STOCK

I really do like this one George  Gold Series, Wenge neck and fretboard, 34" 5 string, zero fret, only 3.8kg.........and very reasonable price, nice and very classy looking bass  What's the B string like compared to the other 35" scale Elricks that you have? https://i.imgur.com/x4WfqA...

Who listens to the singer anyway ? They are just there to support the bassplayer IMO.

I'm liking the idea of using timber from old discarded furniture. Will have to keep my eyes open in future :yep

Your design looks good

Re: Classic Build #1 The whole bass and nothing but.....

Looks great, Ivan. Magnetic battery cover is next on my list of trying to make my builds as easy and fun to use and play as possible. Which magnets do you use? BTW, I would have gone deep with the rout (plenty of thickness in that body) and double size "just in case" - the void can always be filled...

Re: Classic Build #1 The whole bass and nothing but.....

Time for a quick photo update. HHmmm :hmm Does this look familiar. Trying for a magnetic battery cover similar to the Dingwall design except we only need one battery here so it will sit flat to minimize the depth of the route. https://i.imgur.com/pxRtZwkl.jpg Some edge rounding with the router: http...

Re: NBD: Kermit 5

Interesting comments Michael. And yes, it's good to see some honesty which is not so common these days. This build IS fantastic, so hopefully changing over the electronics will make all the difference. Just as an aside, are you sure the particular acoustics of the room didn't have some play here? is...
