NGD: That's NEW GEAR DAY!

The Phil Jones BigHead is here, wired up and ready to go. Yes - I can confirm that these are very good indeed! Easy to set up, great sound, and now I can practice in the house rather than the "dog house". Watch out as my playing skills go through the roof........aaahhh or maybe not :partydance: I al...

Re: Show yourself and your bass(es) - Part Two

I'll keep my ugly mug out of it for now......but here are two of my absolute favourite basses. Oh..and maybe the Maton and the Xotic 5'er as well. But these are the ones I'm gravitating to at the moment. Yamaha BB1024X refinished in fiesta red and the MSGM build. I based the neck dimensions of the b...

Re: Future Builds - Kinda Not Random

Looks so good Michael. What's the thickness of the top wood on this one? Just curious for future potential purchases.

Re: Custom Neck

Seriously just come down to MSGM and build one that suits you. Yes you can strip the board off that broken one and replace the rod but you've still got to reshape and put a new finger board on anyway. You'd be saving yourself an evenings work at best. Classic 5 started with building just a neck, kn...

Re: Sneaky's random builds log

Hi Pete, You’re not getting away that easily. First of all sorry to hear that things got worse rather than improve. But that’s not enough reason to throw out the baby with the bath water. Rest up, get the surgery done, and then see where you’re at. The lutherie forum definitely needs you - the more...

Re: WTB: phil Jones BigHead

To a few of the interstate late comers, the seller won't ship so units need to be picked up from Geelong. If you can do that then I'm sure he has enough units in stock. I'm picking up a few on the weekend but can't manage interstate shipping this time around. I'm happy to try to pick up extra units ...

Re: WTB - Tecamp 212 Bass Cabinet

I have an L212 in tip top condition (always take good care of my gear). Used for rehearsals and a couple of gigs - but not playing live now so its a nice to have but not necessary and I have a Tecamp 112 Combo which covers all my needs at the moment. What's your budget? You can PM me. Pics below - I...
