Re: Who is obsessive about their coffee??

Great Setup - I'm moderately obsessive; I work from home a lot so have my own machine and grinder & has let to a preference for stronger than most commercial shops make. Beans are from SAZON in Mt Barker. For takeaway - If I know the store makes great coffee I always take the lid off for the first f...

Ipad controlled digital mixing desks

Hi All, Thinking about updating to a digital desk; has anyone had real world experience using one of these: Behringer XR18 digital mixer or the Mackie DL1608 The form factor looks great - just wondering about the iPad interface. I have downloaded the app for both but is hard to tell in demo mode wit...

Re: Show off your 6ers!

I think the sixers are rarer and when they come up they've held their value much better. I've had 3 of the TRB5p's and a TRB5pII(ovangkol) as well. All great instruments - I've even thought about the Flame maple one for sale in Perth but I'd prefer to play it first. (& I'm off to the states over Chr...

Re: Show off your 6ers!

I imagine it plays great, but I've not been a fan of neck through since I owned a Ibanez neck thru - prob more the pickups really. How heavy is it? I love the neck through - It resonates very clearly and its very articulate and even across the range. (Fodera Stainless RW) The setup on this is reall...

Re: Favorite Strings?

Fodera 45-130 on all the 5'ers for the last 10+ years. I find they are very even across the range and are consistent set to set with really long life.

I tried a set of Ti Flats on the RW jazz for a while but ended up going back to Fodera round wounds

Its what works for me!

Re: BERGANTINO B|AMP FIRMWARE UPGRADES

Installed 4.31 today - The blend function is very cool; Still maintains that great clean tone and can add small amounts of tube type drive in a really gig friendly package!
Outstanding value from this Amp already.

Re: Ebay thread PART TWO - the good, bad, and ridiculous...

If Someone is looking for a lightweight touring case for their Bass - I have one of these and they are awesome. Your gig bag goes inside and will weigh 10-12 kgs for flying. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Bass-Guitar-Hard-Case-with-wheels-/122736916209?hash=item1c93b0b6f1:g:6ZoAAOSwpOBZ0gRS https://i.eb...

Re: Slap bass live - getting levels/EQ right

:2c: In my experience really depends a number of factors: So maybe just some things to think about that you could consider before outboard gear & other options. (I don't use a compressor or pedals - just minor eq tweaks using on-board eq like 1-2 o'clock) Strings - I found older strings have more va...

New from VULFPECK Via No Treble!

Thought people might enjoy this from No Treble this week. Vulfpeck’s Jack Stratton sent me the latest video by the band, from their new album, Fugue State. The tune, written by Jack, is anchored as always by bassist Joe Dart. Jack shared this: “Somewhat funny backstory: When we did the Amazon rental...
