... You could run direct into the fx return if your preamp has a hot enough signal bypassing the GK preamp. Just remember if it's a RB series head that the boost control has a big effect on the sound. Try setting the Woofer (master) and boost to noon and then use the input volume for overall volume...

I'm now out for the 7th (gig at Marrickville Bowlo) so the 14th is my preferred date. It'd be good to meet everyone face to face. I'd be interested to try out a 6 string - the concept is quite foreign to me as I can only count up to 5 but usually stop at 4.

I tried one at Jack's music. It was nice to play. If I recall correctly the options were series/parallel/split. The series setting was my preferred setting and had a full sound. The others were a little thin but that may have been because I played them after the series setting. I was thinking about ...

I particularly liked Turnbull's comments about the changed law on union payments. Turnbull said something like: "If shorten did this now, it would be illegal." That's the point; it wasn't illegal at the time, so why say it?
